I got a big collection of HG Wells books from a charity shop for a tenner. Actually I was disappointed though... everything else was there, but War of The Worlds was missing from the collection!

Not even heard of 'Mr Brittling Sees It Through'! That doesn't surprise me. Most of us know Wells as the Father of Science Fiction... reading his non-scifi stuff is a bit like that Simpsons episode where Homer and Bart rent a Clint Eastwood movie, "Paint Your Wagon".
