I really hope that this film comes out better than the previous one, but given Hines's reputation I seriously doubt it will. I think WotW was too big a project for him to handle. If he'd been honest about what the movie was, and the amount of money he had, I'd have been willing to forgive the film since he would have tried his best and told the truth. Things might have gone better for him and the movie if he had.

WOTW The True story seems to be hitting some cinemas in America which appears to be some kind of looooooooong film tour lasting till the end of May next year 2012 ( I don't think Jurassic Park ran that long did it ).All seems a bit odd that one to me.Not available in anyway shape or form other than at selected cinemas.Excuse me for living under a rock but 'Special theatre tour' lasting on and off for a year.WTF ..... Sounds fishy to me,blah blah blah and so on and so forth.Balls i'll make my own, can't do much worse. (and suspiciously no trailer to be seen anywhere)

Well I haven't seen it advertised anywhere. So, nothing happening on this side of the Atlantic that's related to TWOTW. At all. Sucks.

As some as you might remember from the old forum, I was a big supporter of Hines his first project. I was really hoping that "the little man" would give us a movie that did the novel right. Of course I was wrong. No matter how much I tried to like the movie, it was too terrible to be true...
Now this new project. Like most of you, I do not have much hope. If the first film showed us the pinnacle of Hines and his crews filmmaking ability then this project will not be any better.
I DO have to say that the picture of the cylinder on Horsell Common on the website of The True Story is pretty cool and far better then all the pre-production photos we saw of the first movie put together...

Hard to find I know, you have to click the big poster image on pendragonpictures.com to get there. Found that out just this evening... This is the direct link www.waroftheworldsthetruestory.com/

Actually those photos in the link look pretty OK. But, but... he needs to avoid the cheese. If he can do that then it might work. Might...

At least we're finally seeing a cylinder. None of the balls, or pods, or saucers, or...holes.

Balls, pods, saucers or holes?? I certainly don't want to see any of those sort of films!
