I just finished watching "Death Machine" on Megavideo thinking it was one of the usual crap films I like to watch while consuming one or twelve pints and was surprised to find it was full of inside jokes for fans of the 80's "Alien" films, Robocop, and others. It's played mostly straight, though, so you have to be a geek to get the most out of it. If you liked Heath Ledger's Joker, you'll get a kick out of Brad Dourif's nutjob scientist character. My favorite part is one where he screws up while taunting the others on camera. I cracked up every time the Warbeast got screen time. That thing is like a cross between a T-Rex and a set of wind-up chattering teeth. We're not talking Oscar material here, just a good time-wasting dose of entertaining crap for geeks.

Sounds like a blast - I'll look out for that. Just looked it up on IMDB. Here's some of the character names - John Carpenter, Scott Ridley, Sam Raimi, Yutani, Weyland lol
