Seems like the brilliant JC is finally coming out of semi-retirement to get his teeth back into some exciting new film projects. As well as new projects like They Live and Escape to New York remakes, he is working on: Riot - the prison thriller tells the story of a troubled youth who is sent to the Scared Straight crime-prevention program. But when a riot breaks out and the prisoners take him hostage, a lifer (played by Nicolas Cage) is forced to help the young man out. www.slashfilm.com/2008/11/06/john-carpenters-riot-movie-poster/#ixzz0qGOjijXjThe Prince - reportedly a gangster take on Unforgiven www.chud.com/articles/articles/17071/1/JOHN-CARPENTER-GOES-GANGSTA/Page1.htmlLA Gothic - The script, written by Jim Agnew and Sean Keller, features five interwoven stories of high-octane horror centering on a vengeful ex-priest's efforts to protect his teenage daughter from the supernatural evils of L.A.'s dark side. www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=41049The Ward - A thriller centered on an institutionalized young woman who becomes terrorized by a ghost. www.imdb.com/title/tt1369706/Fangland - In the book, Harker is an employee of the legendary TV news magazine "The Hour." Sent on assignment to Transylvania, she delivers more than a story when mysterious e-mails, coffins, and a creepy guy named Torgu descend on the New York office. www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=66822So lots to look forward to from JC! ;D
