yah i saw the trailer. i think its out in november. pretty freaky looking. something about it happening in los angeles or somewhere and reminds me of wotw when you see on the trailer like meteors coming down then something huge tractor beaming alot of people up. the movie, from what i was told, is about some massive alien abduction, almost reminds me of "Knowing" or even the remake of the day the earth stood still.

The key though is why the aliens are abducting us. Food, reprogramming?

Just got another reason for me to hate Apple. It told me to install Quicktime to be able to watch the trailer. I installed it, and it keeps telling me to install Quicktime. So screw it, I'm using youtube.
Looks interesting, but the trailer doesn't really say much about the plot, other than that it's another alien invasion film.
I remember Steven Hawking's statement about the probability of alien life a few months back. Basically, that each galaxy is composed of billions of stars, and each star potentially has its own solar system, and there are more galaxies than we can count. Therefore, it's a very slim chance that only one planet in the entire universe is capable of sustaining life.
I've been saying this exact thing for several years, and people call me ignorant. Thank you Mr. Hawking for proving otherwise.

Apparently the film takes place in one of those towerblocks. Like The Mist its based in one location but its a whole tower block and the residence are forced to club together to survive while aliens run around outside.
A new trailer should be running in a week or so.
Stephen Hawking apparently gave permission for his words to be used in the film.

Wow. I might have to see it. If only because the possibility-of-extraterrestrial-life theme reminds me a little of WotW. ;D

Cruiseberg this is how WOTW should have been done! No! WOTW should have been set in England around the turn of the 20th Century as Wells wrote it. But as modern Alien invasion films go, Skyline does look good.

And once again, the aliens are only attacking the major cities. What is it with Hollywood and never choosing a setting outside of a city for films that take place in America? It's like they believe the majority of the population of the US lives in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, et cetera. The majority of the population actually live in suburban areas. The cliche gets old. What I'm saying is, I want aliens to invade Yorktown. Now that I think about it, this is how it feels to be a British member here.
Now that I'm done with my ranting, I'm confused as to whether I'm looking at machines or aliens. I know the ships are machines, you can see the metal and hear engines. But then I also see, well, things that look organic, but at the same time slightly mechanical and too big to fit inside the ships.
