Sony site is running a bit slow, try this: Select 1080 hd and go full screen. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ORb3zC8z94wThe international title for the film is World Invasion: Battle for LA.

I finally got to see this last night. Overall it's pretty good. It has excellent special effects, a pretty decent plot and a good cast. The downsides are that it is very corny and cliched in places and also steals a few elements from Independence Day and Blackhawk Down. But overall I still enjoyed it and would give it maybe a 6.5-7 out of 10.

6.5-7 is good enough for me. I'll have to go and see this one.

I was going to watch this, but I ended up watching the SyFy Channel's 'Battle of Los Angeles' instead. What I like about that was that it wasn't one those films that bothered ever explaining what the plot was, or what any of the characters motivations were. It left the viewer to fill in all those blanks on their own; that way if it turned out to be a load of rubbish, then really it was your own fault because you weren't using your imagination enough. Didn't have any pretentious special effects either and you could see they hadn't wasted any money hiring people who could act. But, yeah, Battle: Los Angeles seems like it might actually be a bit better (if that's possible).
