I haven't read much Little, but Richard Laymon wrote some great novels. I especially liked his earlier works like Flesh and Midnight's Lair.

Sorry not read either. I have seen the name Richard Laymon on the book store shelves but not Bentley Little. What sort of horror do they write?

@lonesome Crow Well Bentley tends to write books that criticize certain negative elements of contemporary society. (ie. Corporate greed, religious fanaticism, extreme consumerism, etc.) The "bad guys/monsters" in his novels represent people in real life who aren't exactly benign either. These types of messages aren't in all of his novels, but they seem to be a common theme in many of them.
Richard Laymon wrote about serial killers/sickos preying on young women. Gangs of hoodlums who eventually get what is coming to them is common in a few of his books.
My favorite Bentley book is "The Resort" and Laymon's is "Come out Tonight"
