The first image is a model?! I thought it was a painting ;D Yes it's a model, although when that photo was taken back in 2004 a lot of the model was badly damaged. The basket was reworked in Paint Shop Pro, so were the tentacles and of course the wheat field is also fake. SIZE COMPARISON: I did't have a can of Coke so here's something everyone should have, a couple of CD boxes to help demonstrate the new model's size.

Very cool model! I remember seeing your early pictures for the first time, years ago. I was very impressed by them. Good work!

That, as they say, is pretty decent!

Thanks chaps. Currently working on the base and the wrecked house the machine will be kicking it way through. Here's the first wall (Not painted yet of course), this will be the most complete wall of the house. Picture is larger than life.Made from polystyrene plastic sheet (white 4mm) and (red 1.5mm) the black lintels over the windows are cut from the very thin plastic from the innards of a CD box.

Ooo! Just realized I hadn't posted pics of the Heat Ray and tentacles fitted. I might try slightly thinner wire for the next model.

DANG. Just... DANG. No, wait... DANG!
If I had your skills and materials and talent, I'd make models of all the major fighting machines... Trim, Dean, Spielberg, Pendragon (I'd modify that one so that it has a body, and get rid of the chains and add tentacles), and especially Steves. Heck, maybe even the George Pal one. And I'd put them all together in one display.
Seriously, though... DANG! This model kicks ass.

Thanks eliash and Tripod. I'm still working on the model off and on, busy building a ruined house and base. It's taking me longer to build the house than it did the Fighting machine, I think I tried to be too ambitious, should have kept it simple.

This is a nice model of the Dean tripod: Yes I like this model, I think it would look better if the window in the hood had been clear not just black.

That model ex-house is so realistic. Well, mostly realistic except for the obvious Styrofoam background! Surely it would be a temporary location for such a fine piece, as a proper backdrop for quality figurines and models would not be made of petroleum.
