The making of my Martian War Machine.

Finished all the grass, a little bit more rubble to add and then comes the painting bit.















Hopefully it should be finished next week.

I finished the painting of the house and base on Friday but had to leave the attaching of the War Machine until Monday because the paint was still too wet.

















Finish it Monday.... I hope.

Yeah, but it took me longer to build the house than it did the Fighting War Machine. ;D

I have already started working on a second model. This time the war machine will be moving fast, almost running.
Not sure what to do about the tentacles and heat ray generator. I think they will have to be retracted and the H R generator tucked up under the hood.

Not sure if we've ever seen your tripod with its heat ray stowed.

No, the heat Ray generator is too big to stow away, it's always suspended on those two tentacles below the hood. but I imagine the tentacles being retracted so the H R gen is tucked up close to the underside of the hood so it doesn't swing about.
