I have already started working on a second model. This time the war machine will be moving fast, almost running. Not sure what to do about the tentacles and heat ray generator. I think they will have to be retracted and the H R generator tucked up under the hood. Thanks Commandingtripod, but I don't think I'll be smashing this one up. not after taking a year to build ;D

No, the heat Ray generator is too big to stow away, it's always suspended on those two tentacles below the hood. but I imagine the tentacles being retracted so the H R gen is tucked up close to the underside of the hood so it doesn't swing about. Something like this.
