This is my console of choice for the moment. I know the 360 and PS3 are better graphically, but I wanted a new experience other than better graphics. The control scheme of the Wii gives me that new experience. I have Wii Sports, Wii Play, Zelda, Red Steel, Cars (cheap off Ebay), and Ice Age 2 (again, cheap off Ebay- not delivered yet). I also rent from Gamesmonster online- £8.99 p/m for 1 game at a time. First game was Far Cry, which had very poor reviews, but as it was an fps, I had to see what it was like for myself. Red Steel, thankfully, is definately better- so I bought the right one. The best game in my collection is definately Zelda, although I wish it had speech instead of just text. However I get just as much fun out of Red Steel and Wii Sports (me and my family played Wii Sports to death over Christmas). A great console, with some great games. I am just hoping for a special forces fps like Rainbow 6 to come out.

Not yet, but I yearn for the day I walk into a shop and say
"Can I have a wii please"!
I think I'll be getting a 360 first- Halo 3, Gears of War, Lost Planet, nuff said! Though I'm a self confessed Zelda nut.

Not yet. Although, to be honest, with many of these larger game consoles I tend wait until one of my family members (or close friends) gets one and then just use theirs... it saves a lot of money, and I get to try out more types of games consoles that way. I'm certainly looking forward to trying it out, when I have access to one.

If i was in the market for a console, the Wii would be it. But i'm a PC player, i never owned a console and i don't think i will ever own one...at least until my boy wants one, that is . With respect the controller, i'm sure some clone of it will be available for PC soon enough.

In fact Reppu, there are vids online (probably on YouTube) where PC users have managed to use a program which allows the Wii remote to control the PC rather like a mouse, and even play Call of Duty on the PC with it!

I can't believe they are still so hard to get hold of. I told my Mum I'd get her one for her Birthday in April (as I thought it wouldn't be a problem getting hold of one come April). Do you think she would tell the difference if I made one out of a cereal box?

Yeah, I can't beleive it either. It's been nearly 3 months since the launch now and they're still as rare as Sasquatch droppings. I was looking on a site last night that tracked Wii availability, and stock on Amazon was lasting minutes before going again. Well at least it gives me longer to save up for one.

Yeah... I still don't know anyone who has one. It's really weird - They all seem to be disappearing off the face of the Earth... (never thought I'd ever be saying this, but perhaps the Martians are stealing our Wii... ;D ).

My brother's got a Wii and I've finally managed to have a little play on it. The boxing is absolutely awesome! I was bloody knackered after fighting about 6 different fighters. Keep fit while playing games - Great!
