Extremely exciting news - A completely new version of the album, new music in todays standards of technology, new cast and the narrator played by Lian Neeson.

I'm into electronic (synthesizer) music, I even created/produced my own material, I am TOTALLY blown away with this new version. The 3 minute animated short which has just been broadcasted with new music is perfect for todays music industry. Orchestra, synths and all with that modern feel and sound.

Well to be honest that was a big anti-climax for me. Bit over-hyped I think. Yeah it's nice that Neeson is in it but it left me feeling ...meh, was that it? I think the highlight of the conference was all the intelligent questions being asked then The Daily Star pipes up with 'do you believe in aliens' lol

In hindsight I was rather harsh, I was a bit down this morning. Dont know what I was expecting, like they were going to announce they're all coming over my house or something lol. A complete reworking is rather big news I guess. If its like the rap-infused version of the music that was streamed before the conference went live then I'd probably get it as I quite enjoyed that, though I'm not the biggest rap fan. I still haven't seen the stage show after all these years (just the DVD of it) so I think I'll definitely have to see this new tour. Maybe I'll get a seat next to Liam when he comes to see it

New music re-working, new cast, new logo - so I expect that new artwork will be commissioned.

If they keep to that fresh approach, that'll work with todays audience.

Here is the promotional video for the 2012 Liam Neeson version of Jeff Wayne's The War of The Worlds. youtu.be/cK5TXwOThEAApologizes for the low quality. I recorded this using my mobile video from the live stream broadcast on my laptop. I did not know they were to show the promo. If I find a much better quality, I will re-post. Any TWOTW music fans will spot straight away a new feel and sound to the music in the video. I like the trancey lead sound. Fits well I feel

On the 'Post Reply' page you'll see a little red 'Tube' logo just above the emoticons, click that and past the youtube address where I've stuck a smiley. [ youtube] [/youtube ] Use the address from the top of the Youtube page not the address in the {Share} box. Give it a go, see if it works.
