AKA John Christopher, and more aliases than a mobster on the run!
Only heard cos I am a morbid so-and-so and watch the Wikipedia "Recent Deaths" section.

I was forced to read "the white mountains" for school (aged 13 and three quarters) but read the other two books of my own volition. Always enjoyed the way it engaged me as a teenager in science fiction (and especially the political and social aspects). I always thought he was of the same time as H.G.Wells and therefore already dead. Classic kid fiction, much better than Tom Swift or Danny Dunn.
