I recently gave Ray Bradbury's "Fahrenheit 451" a re-read. I was compelled to read it in 1981 as part of my school work, but I have since come back to it. I could not help but notice that many aspects of his dystopian society seem to be commonplace today. Has anyone else here been thinking about this story lately? Many acknowledge it as an indictment of censorship, but Bradbury himself brings up the concept I believe should be called "The Dictatorship of the Minority", where the goal to reach political correctness has taken on a life of it's own to the point where all "offensive" thought or action is eliminated.

It's been a long time since I've read it, but from what I remember I certainly agree. I think I'll dig it out and give it a re-read. It's well overdue.
