Hello.
Remember I posted on here a few years ago about some steampunk. Unfortunately I never really got into it and tired of the thing very quickly. But I've recycled a few of the ideas I had back then and now have passed a milestone in my writing - actually finishing something and putting it out there:
Jen Air: The Little Queen
It's... I don't know. I kind of like a Doctor Who story set on earth (like through most the Jon Pertwee era), I suppose. Also it's the introduction to series of stories most of which have a similar theme of myth and fantasy brought to life by science. Bits of it I feel seem a bit rushed as I was trying to keep to about a 70,000 (although now I can't remember why... someone suggested it was the best length for a first book), but hopefully it's still exciting enough for people. I may release a longer version at some point, although more likely I'll again just reuse some of the cut ideas in a future story.
I'm hoping to get a couple or even a few full length stories out next year. I already have them started, although obviously I want to leave plenty of time for proofreading and editing.
