lol just read this comment of it on the IMDB forum -
"Reading other more positive comments you could be forgiven for thinking this trash is comparable with John Waters movies, let me assure other Waters fans who may be persuaded to watch this...It's Not. The only comparison between this and Waters movies is that's its marginally twisted. Thats it. If that was all it took to make a good movie then everyone would be doing it, Waters has a visual style and a wicked sense of humour. The makers of Bride of Frank have no style whatsoever, they seem to have mistaken an old inarticulate person as a source of comedy. Guess what, Frank swears a lot, he's old thats pretty much the whole humour section of the movie. As for the "shocking" murders, I swear I nearly fell asleep, this is so ridiculously bad you can't even be shocked by such things, I'm guessing the blood squirting excessively from severed heads is supposed to be funny, it can be if done right, sadly nothing is done right in this film."
I'm guessing this guy wasn't overly impressed. Dunno, call it a hunch...

This reviewer is holding up John Waters as the high-water mark ;D of movie-makers? Mmmm... well, I suppose everyone's entitled to their opinion.

Lol. Thanks to someone who shall remain nameless, I have a copy of this. I'll do a review soon... It'll be an interesting review. No how about this for a bit of food for thought? Imagine that the director of this film had spent a lot of time bigging up the film and saying it was an equal to <<<insert excellent horror film here>>> and was generally brilliant, BEFORE the film came out. That would be daft, wouldn't it. Who would believe that in the early years of the 21st century that someone would actually do that?

Well, I watched this last night. What to say about it? God, where do I start? It's a terrible, terrible film. But I felt I had to see it through. It's kinda like watching a train crash, I guess. But, for some reason I can't possibly guess, I sort of liked it whilst hating it simultaneously. Frank is an old homeless guy who is given a job at a trucking firm. He wants a woman so his co-workers place a lonely hearts ad in the papers. The meetings don't go too well and mayhem ensues. The acting was amateurish (to say the least), the editing was dire, the gore FX were poor, the music was terrible. The guy who plays the psychotic, mumbling Frank (a man only one step up from Bub out of 'The Day of the Dead'), seemingly some old bum the producers picked up off the street, is the most likeable character in the whole thing. There's the shouty driver at the firm where Frank works who's answer to everything is related to his dick ('I'm loading the truck.', 'Well how about you load this?') and the mafioso cliche workers at the firm are probably just that and got parts because they put drug money in. The women Frank meets are a weird bunch, obviously family members and local 'talent' (what was with the woman who *sang* about how disgusted she was by Frank while juggling?). The plot makes little sense, the humour (it's obviously meant to be a black comedy) is rarely funny... the phone sex joke is by far the best bit, I did get a chuckle out of that... and it's a badly shot mess. In short, just awful.
