"Time Enough at Last" features Burgess Meredith as a bookworm who is granted his wish to have all the time he wants to read-- with, of course, an ironic twist a the end. "Terror at 20,000 Feet" is another of my faves, too-- I don't think William Shatner ever gave a finer performance.

Wasn't it John Lithgow in the 'remake' of that episode in the movie. He was rather spiffy.

[glow=red,2,300]I don't know the name of the episode (or even if it was zone or one of the copycatys), it was colour at any rate. It involved an archaeologist, cave painings and mysterious deaths.. I had a poster of a similar cave painting on my wall at the time.. ;D[/glow]

I'm the last man alive, with all the peace and quiet to enjoy all the books ever written!" Glasses fall off and smash. "Oh no! My glasses! Hmm, fortunately, there's the large print section." Eyes fall out. "Well at least there's the audio books." Ears fall off. "Brail..." Fingers fall off. Then his jaw. Fry: "How ironic." Bender: "Brr. Cursed by his own hubris."

I seem to get TTZ and TOL(The Outer Limits) confused because I watched both Rod Serling narrated series near the time of their original runs at a young age. I like TOL better for it's slightly more science-fiction oriented themes. One of my favorites was an episode called "The Architects of Fear", follwed by "Demon with a Glass Hand". "The Zanti Misfits" is required viewing for anyone who likes to smoke the Krippy and watch sci-fi. Those stop-motion ants with human faces is as trippy as it gets. TTZ's "Little Girl Lost" was the first thing to come to my mind when I saw "Poltergeist". Of course, the episode of TTZ that I never get confused with TOL is the infamous "Terror at 20,000 Feet". These days the poor bastard would get more than his share of tolchocks to the gulliver for acting up on a plane.

'Monsters Are Due On Maple Street', where friendly neighbours are set against eachother by unexplained events. Turns out a bunch of Aliens has tricked them. By seeing how easily people are influenced they give permission for an invasion force.
