this is a fine trilogy that i return to at least once a year... Cube ZeroThe CubeCube 2: Hypercubethe second and third films tend to be prone to suspect (over) acting but other than that, great horror-thrillers...

I thought the first Cube was absolutely brilliant, but couldn't get away with 2 and 3. The second and third ones just seemed cheap with poor acting, directing, effects and storylines in comparison to the first.

Now, when you say you didn't like 2 and 3, did you mean The Cube and Cube2:Hypercube or Cube2:Hypercube and Cube Zero? Are you talking about release order or storyline order?

Sorry, yes release order. The first Cube film to be released I thought was good.

[WARNING SPOILER AHEAD!] I have to say I got a bit annoyed at the end of 'Hypercube' when our heroine (Ms Kari "bland" Hatchett from 'Invasion') gets shot as soon as she escapes Of course, if you have the DVD the unused footage in the extras explains this, i.e. she was a plant which must be silenced (which was not altogether clear in the original cut).
