Not the classic Wim Wenders choice, I know, and not highly praised, but I love this film. A vaguely science fiction/road movie set in the future, revolving around 3 main characters- a woman- Solveig Dommartin-following a mysterious man around the world- William Hurt- (who is being chased by bounty hunters who want to retrieve some lab gear and keeps leaving her behind), who is in turn being followed by her husband - Sam Neill-(boyfriend? Haven't seen it in a while).
Their paths and fates intertwine in the Australian outback after a sattelite is blown up and the resulting EMP kills all electronic/electric stuff and they end up in a bunker all together.
The film has an awesome cast (including Max Von Sydow) and soundtrack and is a very emotional/Beautiful film. The version of Peter Gabriel's Blood of Eden is lovely (just a slightly different mix, as with U2's title song)
Any other takers?

It's great. I've just found out that it's (FINALLY) out on UK DVD. I'll be getting that then!

It is a very long, slow film and not everyone rates it as such, but I love the movie.
