Haven't heard of that one. Can you give us a few details? *Mild Spoilers* = = = = = = “Saturn Rukh” is a hard science-fiction novel by the late Robert L. Forward. It’s about an expedition to Saturn’s upper atmosphere. Six scientists take a giant hot air balloon and a rocket fuel factory to Saturn to establish the feasibility fuel production and encounter intelligent life forms and not so intelligent life forms. They are funded by a corporate conglomerate including Mitsubishi, Boeing and several others. As with most sci-fi, things go horribly wrong and the scientists must learn to trust and depend on the “noble savages” known as Rukhs for survival. Rukhs are giant blimp/bird/ray creatures who live in flocks. They are more intelligent than humans but due to their limited existence they have no technology of any kind and tend to be innocent and good natured. Rukhs are also fairly easy to corrupt and soon develop a love for “things”; mostly strings, bowties, TVs, and silk undergarments.

I hope that someone makes a great film adaptation of that great book by H.G. Wells, "The War Of The Worlds".

How about Joe Haldeman's classic...The Forever War.
Would be brilliant, fighting suits, starships, battles, humour, time dilation effects...go on someone. Do it...unless you're Tim Hines or Speilberg.
Peter Jackson might do a good job...

Peter Jackson might do a good job... Nah, Peter Jackson will probably make it twice as long as it needs to be and stick a huge gorilla in it.

I also would like the serie Taken, By Steven Spielberg, with gess who?, Dakota Fanning, it was the first time i saw Dakota, but this serie was good, with good actors. i would like it to be on the big screen, and make a part 2 still on the big screen. Chantale.

The King Kong remake was excellent IMO, but yes there were a few areas where it could've been cut down slightly.

Ringworld, Rama, and Footfall have been on my short list for a while. The war against the Chtorr would work as either a series of films or a television series done by SciFi to be shown after 10PM.

[glow=red,2,300]Hmm.. The Crystal Egg would be nice to see done properly with all its potentially WotW referances intact.
I'd like to see a series of classic sci-fi stories. Some of the great, and often forgotten, tales of the genre. [/glow]

I've heard rumors of a "Quatermass and the Pit" remake being bandied about. If whoever is attempting a remake of that goes back to "The Crystal Egg" the way Carpenter went back to "Who goes There" when he remade "The Thing", it could be interesting.
