Jolene Blakelock (Enterprise) and Amanda Donahue joins Casper Van Dien as they battle the bugs on Earth.
The new Scorpion bug is attacking the Earth and General Rico and his battalions has to face them.
Casper Van Dien has said the new film sees the arrival of the powered armour suits from the book as wel as the Mechs and other exotic weapons from the CG toon series.
This sounds v cool! The film also skips the 2nd movie totally.

Glad to here that it skips that awful straight to DVD sequel. Sounds like a cool storyline too. I'm looking forward to this. No Denise Richards or Jake Busey by the looks of it. Far preferred Dizzy to Carmen anyway and I don't think they can bring Dizzy back!

The film also skips the 2nd movie totally. I've not seen it but I must admit I have heard that the sequel is utter bobbins. Would anyone care to pass judgement?

Yes, it is utter bobbins The acting is terrible (all nobodies), the special effects are mid-late 80s okish, the story idea is ok, but poorly constructed and very corny in places. It went straight to DVD for a lot of very good reasons. Damn shame really. Re Dizzy...I wouldn't kick her outta bed!
