Godzilla was so so War of the Worlds is wonderful (imo) And this looks good (although the handheld shaky camera work could get nauseating after awhile ) Me 2 penny worth

Just been watching this... ...Gotta say it's a classic. Wonder if War of the Worlds would have worked if it had been done like Cloverfield. 10/10 d.f.

Just been watching this... Wonder if War of the Worlds would have worked if it had been done like Cloverfield. 10/10 d.f. Ive been saying that for ages. WOTW was a crude, dull, pointless movie designed just to keep Cruise and Spielberg in the limelight. Thats all. We were woefully short changed at every level over the cinema versions of WOTW and seeing a film like Cloverfield only enhances that reality.

Found the film mostly enjoyable, kind of gave me motion sickness. More like a one ride rollercoaster. Unique, but not something to stand repeat viewings. Has its moments, but a bit too over indulgent in my opinion. The monster looked cool from what I could see of it . 6/10
