Yeah before I saw this trailer a day or two ago I had heard that Harrison didnt look that much older than in the original films and thought 'oh leave it out! have you seen him! he's an old man!" but he really doesnt look much older at all, thats plastic surgery for you anyway this really looks good and has kept the whole feel of the originals and I look forward to seeing this one. Idiana Jones, your friendly local Nazi basher!

I'm having a hard time understanding why everyone-- not just on this forum-- seems so excited about this new film. The second Indy film was awful, the third was only good to the extent it imitated the original. How much hope is there that the 4th will actually be anywhere near the quality of the first?
But I heard a rumor they're bringing back Karen Allen as Marion Ravenwood. That would certainly be a large step in the right direction! One reason I'm rather lukewarm about the 3rd film is that they didn't have a girlfriend for Indy. It was nice seeing Sean Connery as his dad, but spending so much time on Indy's relationship with his dad that they didn't have time for a romantic subplot was, in my opinion, a mistake.
Oh, and John Hurt is *always* a pleasure to watch. So that's another plus for this film.

WARNING: SPOILERS!!!!
I thought overall the 4th outing was very good and Ford was excellent as ever. I did think some of the action sequences were way over the top (the monkey one being the main one). I loved the references to the earlier films and other sly winks. Shia was very good, but I thought Winstone was under-used. I particularly liked the scene where Indy looks at the photos of his father and Marcus. I didn't mind the aliens even though some people have slated this aspect of the film. Afterall Indy films have never been realistic adventures (the lost ark, possessions, the Holy Grail and imortality). Reality is suspended in every single Indy film, so why would this one be different? They had done religion to death, so the alien angle was another logical choice. The wedding was a little awkward, but I don't think it spoiled anything. Liked Indy taking his hat before Shia could. Indy's getting old and had been reaquainted with his first love, so why not let them get married?
So overall a damn good addition to the original trilogy. As an aside I loved all three earlier films too - thought Temple of Doom was unjustly critisised.
