I don't think I'd ever sleep again if I saw a Cthulu film by H R Giger, Rusti. But I'm hoping this will be Cthuluesque at the very least. Something impossible inserted into reality, and keeping the tone real and documentary like all the way through - like the tone of the first half of Paramount's War of the Worlds. Incidently, I have just seen Order of the Phoenix and I reckon it's the best Potter flick yet.

I've given up with trailers and things like Youtube lately. They don't seem to agree with my computer. Anyone care to fill me in as to what's on that trailer? It starts off at a going away party for some guy named Rob. Someones recording people wishing him well on his trip to Japan, etc, etc. They're partying away and dancing when a there is a large howl, the ground shakes, lights go out and car alarms go off. People wonder what that the noise is (Someone says 'it sounded like an animal'). It's being reported on the news too 'Phone calls are pouring into the New York News Room reporting it as a thunderous roaring sound') when one of them suggests 'Maybe we can see something on the roof'. They all head up to the roof and are talking about it (It sounded like this, it did this, man you should have left town a little earlier) when the noise is heard again and an explosion is seen in the distance. The blast hurls firely debris towards the group (I must admit here that the effects are awesome) and they all scream and get off the roof as it comes impacting on the buildings around them. Camera is a little shakey as they run down the stairs and onto the street. Once on the sreet anarchy is breaking out with people screaming and running away as fast as they can. Alarms are going off everywhere with one of the main guys stating 'Oh my god it's alive, it's huge!' People are stilling fleeing whilst the main group are looking for one of their friends when the roar is heard once more. This is accompained by the head of the Statue of Liberty smashing into a building before bouncing down the road into view with others still shouting 'Oh my god! Oh my god!'

It starts off at a going away party for some guy named Rob. Nice name Really looks like this is a revelations story. Which I think is well cool. Don't think that's ever been done before in a massive monster way before. If you compare the time and dates on the photos on the www.1-18-08.com website to Bible references from Matthew 12:01 and Matthew 12:36 and 12:48 then you get references to the photos and the end of days Photo 12:01 - People drinking At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath. His disciples were hungry and began to pick some heads of grain and eat them. Photo 12:36 - People looking in horror on something amazing But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken. Photo 12:48 - people looking lost and forget full He replied to him, "Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?" Could be totaly wrong of course. Enjoying seeing all the clues people are tying together. We'll be told the title next week at ComicCon

The noise 'it' makes when it throws the statue of Liberty head was really chilling. This is how WOTW should have been done.

Remember when the tripods appeared over the ferry on top of the hill, with the horns? Wasn't that cool? C'mon, just a little bit?

... and next week on 'Jackanory', Bill Oddie reads 'James and the Giant Peach'. Good God, I haven't seen that name since I saw "The Goodies" on public television in the '70's.

More news: apparently the creature has the abillity to regenerate by 'absorbing organic material' In otherwords lots of people going squeltch!
Someone also suggested the plot is where a military team finds the video camera and watches the horror of the attack. One by one the cast all die horiffically.

Got this off another website cloverfield.freeforums.org/viewtopic.php?t=335. THis has got to be the plot. Which I'm really excited about.i wish i knew who thought of this because i give major proppzzz.. got this from another site, and it was the best theory I've seen so far: If you look at the trailer you can see the number 3 being referenced to everywhere. The 63 degrees on the news channel, The 12:36, the 2004 ACE, numbers that are all dividable by 3. Last, but not least, you hear the thundering monster sound three times, each sound accompanied by a different event. Romans 1:18 "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness" So what in biblical mythology has connections to the slew of references in the trailer? The three great monsters. In Jewish belief, Behemoth is the primal unconquerable monster of the land, as Leviathan is the primal monster of the waters of the sea and Ziz the primordial monster of the sky. 1) The first monster roar is accompanied by an earthquake (Behemoth) 2) The second monster roar is accompanied by a huge fireball (Leviathan, for it can breathe fire) 3) The third monster roar is accompanied by the flying Statue of Liberty head (Ziz). Not convinced? The guy who says "maybe we can get a better view from the roof" has the Slusho logo on his shirt. Slusho is a classic J.J. Abrams icon, and it has appeared in both Alias and Lost, which are his shows. Slusho.jp has, by now, been confirmed as a part of the viral marketing campaign revolving around 1-18-08. Japan. Strangely enough, the character Rob, who is present in the trailer, was gonna fly to Japan a day after that party and the monster events. Let's have a look around on that site. Not all pages are accessible. But there is an odd feature about the pages that are available. The main page background is on land, the Downloads page background is on air, and the History page background is on sea. Furthermore, the six buttons on the main page cause popups of various animals, namely a Horse, a Whale and a Bird. Behemoth, Leviathan, Ziz. I'm really excited, this is very convincing. I'm not very religious but think the idea of a 'real world' representation of the end of days would be amazing. Especially if everyone was getting killed no matter what faith they are...... the correct answer..... was Mormon (for you south park fans)
