Sadly, as an antithesis with all that's good about the bike, I've had issues and, through my contact with the dealer, I've posted this on a couple of bike forums and will be taking this further if I can--
"Hello all.
It's a shame I have to do this, but I really have to recommend to anyone in or near the Hampton/Twickenham area not to ever, ever use Apex bikes.
Here's the saga now from my experiences-
Bought my SV, 22nd Dec. Picked it up 23rd after MOT and new battery in. Battery died over Xmas- was barely used. Spoke to them- they seemed not to want to help too much- battery was new.
Had a crash- it turns out because tyre pressures were way out and the bike was unsteerable- front WAY down (by 18psi), back way up (by 14psi). Now- it was a couple of weeks since I picked it up- bike had hardly been ridden and tyres don't inflate themselves and should not drop by 18psi over 2-3 weeks, even in winter. Sadly, too late to have any evidence to check this- though accept I am responsible for checking my tyre pressures.
So- battery keeps dying- they check it with their meter and charging seems OK.
In the meantime, when in rain the front cylinder SERIOUSLY plays about. Call out recovery- charge is dropping as the bike is revved. Bit of both here I think- water and the regulator/rectifier.
So- he agrees to sort it- 5 minute job and I arrange to go in last Friday at 4:30. Turn up- the mechanic's not there- was sent out on a job that's taking twice as long. Apparently he had forgotten about me turning up. Nice. So- call again on Tuesday to get him to send the mechanic to me (as I can't find time off work). Not willing to do that- I explain regarding the problems I had and that I'm starting to get sick of this- he gets well shirty and is 'sick of me bitching and moaning' then hangs up.
I call back and suggest that we talk a more reasonably to each other- arrange for sat am. Then explain that I am not happy that he was rude and hang up, try explaining my unhappiness in general with the situation- he still doesn't want to listen. When I point this out- he says he's very busy and just says goodbye and hangs up.
Nice- their website says they pride themselves on aftersales service- I feel that it's more of after-thought service. Sheer incompetence on every level. Basically- I've only really had 2.5 weeks of non problematic riding on the bike for various reasons.
I will be posting this in as many places as I can. I'm appalled at the attitude and rudeness I've been subjected to."
I don't like having to do this sort of thing and avoid it as a rule, but the guy's attitude has force my hand.

sorry for your troubles there...i know over here in that type of a situation we usually ring the consumers association seek the rights we have repeat such info to the seller and if no satisfaction then on to the ombudsman informing the seller that we are getting in touch with the ombudsman and/or small claim courts

Agree, You should make an official written complaint demanding immediate restitution. If they don't play ball, then report them both to Trading Standards and to Which? Remember, put everything in writing - anyone can say anything they like over the phone and you can be damn sure that they'll deny it later on ...still haven't worked out what an SV is KR

That's a lovely bike! How much for it? What's the insurance bracket?

Jeebus, dude. Sorry about that. Although if a place mucks up something as simple as tire pressures, I wouldn't set foot or bike back in there. I learned to do my own wrenching because nobody cares as much about your bike as you do... What's wrong with dry clutches? I've had three bikes (Breva, SS800, and current R1200S) with dry clutches, and they're dandy. The only problem with Ducati's, IMO, is that they specifically exempt their clutches from warranty. All in all, I'm happy with the beemers.

I just got the impression that you go through more dry clutches than wet. My mate's one needs replacing on his- £500! Plus £500 for a service- so he's leaving it until after the wedding..!!

It depends on how you treat it. You can really burn through a dry clutch fast if you slip it like a wet clutch.
Since bikes have sequential transmissions that take clutchless shifting so well, I usually do that on bikes anyway. I found it to be a lot faster at the track, actually. And on my bikes with dry clutches, it was smoother than shifting with the clutch. It's a bit of a finicky shit - you kind of pre-load the shifter gently, then ease it in as you hold the throttle neutral. Then let it dip a little and get back on, for an upshift, or goose it to rev-match for a downshift.

Very nice. I suppose your leg is well tucked back there and the rearsets really are rearsets- otherwise, have you got opposable thumbs on your knees? ;D

Hmmm very nice! Looks very similar to the one my mate got- though his has underseat pipes- a newer model. perhaps. I reckon my next bike is gonna be a Ninja or a CBR600.
I nearly had him on the corners yesterday- he is still taking it easy and I had to hang back. My SV does the twisties a treat!!
Nice bike, BTW, Bobble.
Maybe we should do a meet when the weather improves (SNOW AGAIN? GAAAH! I've just cleaned the bike too!!). Perhaps head to Ace Cafe and on from there? Unless you wanna meet in Sunny Surrey? Boxhill or Newlands (2 places I love).
