Again, did a search and didn't see this posted, tho I am sure many of you have heard it. For those who have not, this 30 year-old re-do of the 1938 version is quite good. While I force myself to listed to the occasional rebroadcast of the Welle's version on Halloween each year (good but awfully dated), the Buffalo, NY version holds up quite well today I think. Some sites charge for it, but if you can wade through some commentary, it's free here: www.vintageradioplace.com/ra/glowingdial031012.ramMight be worth putting a category up for "Other" in the incarnations area? Of course, this one created yet ANOTHER "panic," though smaller. The canadian authorities did dipatch some mounties (or their ilk) to the border and some of the reported areas around upper NY state went onto what would now be a "Tac Alert." Just makes it more fun! Oh, I oughta mention that you have to wade through the '38 version, and some other more scarce material, before the Buffalo one comes on. Apologies. Still a great time.
