As most of the members of the old forum already know, I'm the vocalist in a streetpunk band. On the 14th of March we will set off to the country of Romania to play some gigs. This will be the very first gigs we play abroad, till now we've mostly played in little, local youthcentres in The Netherlands itself. This will be a small Romania tour only, with only 2 gigs to play. In Bucharest we will play on a festival with Italian band Los Fastidios as main act. The second one will be in Craiova, with the Romanian streetpunkband Scandal. I'm really looking forward to this, as does the band. We've already had offers to play in Bulgaria and Greece too but we'll keep these invitations for a big Eastern Europa tour that will most probably commence this summer. Wow! What a week! After a couple of days rest I think it's time to inform you guys about our little trip to Romania. The first thing I really have to praise is the INCREDIBLE hospitality of our Romanian friends. They shure know how to treat their guest, at one point I actually felt kind of uncomfortable because they wanted to pay everything for us. It will be a real challenge for us to equal that when they come to The Netherlands this May. The gigs: sadly enough the gig in Craiova was cancelled at the very last minute so we only played one gig in Bucharest. The crowd was fantastic, the bands were great and we had a very great time. We had a lot of praise from the crowd and the main act actually called us "the Dutch Exploited". The days after that our Romanian friends showed us Bucharest, we got drunk, slept, went into Bucharest again, get drunk again and so on. It was a great week This summer we will have a big Eastern European tour were we will play in Romania, Bulgaria and Greece. Looking forward to it |
