Any of you musical folks entered into the pleasures of the ARP2600 (real or virtual)?
I've got an 'evaluation' copy of it at the moment and am absolutely in love with it,
For the less synth minded, it's an old 70's synthesizer that was used extensively on J-M Jarre's first few albums. It sounds really fat.
I'm also playing about with the moog modular- a fantastic learning experience!
I recommend anyone with £350 squids knocking about for music stuff to get Arturia's V collection. They seriously know how to make dem sinfs!

I've got the virtual one, though a friend of mine has an original, albeit a bit battered. All those Rick Wright solos come flooding back...

Yeah, right. I'm getting some properly crazy sounds out of it and much more fun than more modern stuff (though that's not a knock- stuff like Massive or Rapture are amazing synths).
Haven't really explored the Moog modular much yet and as my Mac's 933mhz, and the spec is 1Ghz, I'm maxing the cpu out fairly quick...
Also got the ImpOSCar. That sounds fat as hell too. I'm in Synth Heaven. All I need now is the CS-80 and all those Vangelis albums'll come flooding back!
