About 3 years ago i let a friend of mine borrow my video camera. It was a last gen camera before digital came out fully. Worth at the time 250 quid. Anyway when i asked for it back i got nothing but excuse after excuse. His primary excuse was that hi left it around his family's house and hes in the middle of a family row and her cant collect it.
Well a couple of weeks ago i forced the issue. "where is my fu*king camera!!" He said Oh im sorry i broke it about a year ago, the tape got jammed and in the process of removing the tape i broke off the door so i decided to throw the camera away!
I was so bloody angry that i wasnt angry! I just laughed and walked off.
To add insult to injury he offered 100 quid for it. A 250 quid camera.
Delemma: I think he sold the camera, pawned it off. I knew he was strapped for cash, hes always blagging someone. Plus if he broke it surely it was my decision as to whether the camera could be salvaged or not!
I have no proof that he did it. But I'm tempted to go to the cops and get a crime number just to scare the sh*t out of him. Needless to say i want little to do with him.
What do you think?

Just whack him round the head with your bass guitar. Two birds with one stone!! ;D yeah garotte him with the strings. Shove the bass, wide bit up his arse then kick him in the nuts to play it...lends a new angle on the slap bass technique. ;D

If he's no longer a friend (and the way he's acted he would no longer be a friend of mine) then you could do just that to scare him. Or you could just say sorry I want the full £250 - you've been waiting long enough to be owed AT LEAST the full amount. If he says no then you could threaten with going to the police about it.
