Mrs Poyks gets very annoyed with the presence of spiders in the house, and they tend to give me the creeps a bit. About 10 minutes ago a large house spider appeared on the wall, and rather than doing the usual glass/paper routine to throw it outside, I decided to grab it in my hand. I ran my hands over and over in a circle because it was running so fast over them and a couple of times it stopped on my wrist so I could take a good look at it. When you've got a spider on your hand, all the silly arachnophobia disappears, and you realise just what beautiful creatures they are! The strange thing is, that as it was running around my hands, it was producing web strands which I could feel, a strange sensation! I didn't want to stress the poor little bugger for too long, so I let it out the window. That's the first time I ever did that, and I'm glad I did! I took a photo of it when it was on the wall;

I agree Rusti well something that size with long lanky horrid legs anyways. I don't mind the small ones but this one was about 3 inches yuk! It was fine when it was on the the music studio wall - well I mean I felt safe for the 5 hours it was there (I was only about 2 feet away from it during this time). When I told Mr Poyks I wanted it removed, (it was just so ugly & horrid) I left the room and he picked it up and was looking at the spider in amazement & awe! . I mean come on, who in their right mind thinks that horrid thing is beautiful!!!!. He tried to get me to have a look at it (by this time I was in the safety of theother bedroom with the door ajar) as it started scuttling around on his hand and then started to weave a web. It was bad enough looking at the thing when it was stationary and in the corner of the room but now it was doing this and Mr Poyks was loving every second of watching the spider at work - the nutter!!! ;D. The spider initially even bit him as well... Eventually after about 10 mins of playing with the spider, Mr Poyks put the spider out of the window much to my relief

They're great, spiders. When i was a wee lad, i used to throw flower petals into webs, just to what the spider would do!
