You've got my attention! You think of the time of some of those designs, if it hadn't have been for fortunate timing and allied intelligence during WW2, it's scary to think of the alternative outcome! Apart from the historical value, on their own for the sake of aircraft design, they are stunning!!

Great site [ must have a good look around there ] and great pics of those cool looking aircraft. There was a programme called Luft 46 on cable the other night but I missed it.

As you explore the site you can see where most modern jet ideas come from.
I look at stuff like this and im amazed that we ever beat them.

My favourite aircraft, the Avro Vulcan, was based on delta wing experiments done by the Luftwaffe, so you just have to respect their designers in that respect. That of course led to the Concorde wingform.

For those who don't know, the Vulcan IMO is the most beautiful large aircraft ever! It handled better that a lot of fighters! XH558, the last flyable Vulcan should be back in the air in the next couple of weeks! www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_h7hVF7UIc

The crescent design of the Victor was as revolutionary as the Delta. Another wonderful aircraft that I used to see in it's refueling role.
