Mmm, I've been hearing these things for years. I have tapes made by religious preachers who have loads of so called reverse messages in recordings. Most of the time it's the audio equivalent of seeing faces in wallpaper patterns or in leaves in a tree. Once you have someone telling you what they think they can hear, you have the added power of suggestion, so your brain picks out what it wants to hear. It's a bit silly including the Pink Floyd one; Roger Waters deliberately recorded the secret message, and it was placed backwards on the song.
Very interesting subject though, and it'd be great to know what other people think.

Slightly off the path, there's part of JW's War Of The Worlds album that sounds fantastic backwards!! I'll try and work out which bit sometime soon. I used to play records backwards by spinning the motor belt into a figure 8 pattern, which by the way, is a great way of curing jumps on an album as it remoulds the skip point (similar to switching a set of reverse points on a model railway with a loco).
