I was thinking about how corrupt this world is. There's so much thievery, vandalism, murder, assault, greed, laziness, war, and racism. So then I thought, "Hey, the world needs more goodness." So now I'm trying to eliminate all my flaws. I now respect people, be kind, work extremely hard in my classes, you get the idea. Some people might think I'm a suck-up, but in reality, I'm just trying to be nice. If you share the same moral philosophy or have comments on my shared thoughts, please feel free to post them below.

You stick with the good things in life, and be a good example to those around you. I've always tried to be as good as I can to people, and it does seem hard sometimes, as though you are banging your head against a brick wall, but the good morals in people will win eventually. I pride myself in good manners and interest in what people do, and on the whole it make the world far better. There will always be the bad pennies out there, and no matter what happens, we must not let them win!

I'm with you on this - there is too much nastiness and rudeness in the world. It would be a much better place if everyone just showed a little more manners and tolerance.

There is a lot of nastiness in the world... many people lust for power and money, and are willing to do anything to get it, including hurting those around them. But there are equally as many good people out there, who spend their own time and money on helping others.
I have found, over the years, that doing something good is it's own reward. If you can do a good thing for someone, however small the act may seem to you, the happiness you can create through that action is worth all the effort you put in. Raising money for/donating to charities, helping those you care about, even simple things like always being polite and cheerful and listening to others... all can positively affect the lives of those around you as well as your own. I am satisfied if, by the end of the day, I have made at least one person smile a real, sincere, happy smile. ^^
If more people were to make an effort to reach out to those around them - the world would be a much less hostile place. Remember, even a small action can make a big difference!

I should never do to peoples, what i dont want to be done to me, everytime i can or have the opportunity, to do good to someone else, i do, make others feel that they are very important to me, about all the wars and inequity between Countrys, it is bad really bad, i wish the whole world would be more equal in anything including of course money.

[glow=red,2,300]Some philosophers draw a distinction between morality and ethics which can be important.
Anyways, I'm not so sure the world is getting worse.. last I heard crime was more reported but actually les common per capita throughout much of the world. Wars, while still terrible, are less common and have smaller casualty rates.
But I agree we could always get better. I myself have always strived to be the best person ethically that I can be.
Good on you all for striving likewise![/glow]
