Here's the way the point system works:
You get 32 points for everyone you invite, 16 points for anyone invited by them, 8 for anyone that they invite, then 4, 2 and 1. Your points exist as long as the player who gave you them is still in the game. If he or she loses, they vanish.
It's quite simple, actually.
Seems people actually sponsored them too - so there is some serious cash prizes for the winner - in the order of say, $1000-5000.
