Hmm interesting - mine wasn't too far off the mark - 1.7MB download speed with the 2MB line I've got from Virgin Media.

yeah i saw this a couple of weeks ago when it was on the gadgetshow itself, i pay for 16mb broadband and it rarely goes above 5mb, ripoff city! (I use Sky) It actually seemed faster when i had 2mb NTL broadband
