I received some great prezzies this year, but the most gobsmacking one was from my parents. A microlite flying lesson with a comprehensive first theory classroom session plus a 40 minute actual flight! I'll be sure to post the video of my flight after I've booked and used the day, and I really hope to keep it up afterwards. I love all things aviation, and this is wonderful!!

I received 9 presents this year: 1. A simply beautiful piece of artwork from Luperis: ;D ;D ;D 2. The War of the Worlds, The First Men in the Moon, The Island of Dr. Moreau, In the Days of the Comet, The Food of the Gods, The Time Machine, and The Invisible Man all in one huge book. ;D 3. Jeff Wayne's The War of the Worlds PC game. ;D 4. Enough money to buy a plush martian and (hopefully) the WotW graphic novel trilogy. 5. Warhammer "High Elf Lord on Dragon" paintable model, which also happens to be a free one-way ticket to a few hours at the gaming store. 6. Two Barnes & Noble gift cards. 7. Candy. 8. Ripley's Believe It or Not collection. 9. A guide to Marvel collectible merchandise. Best haul ever this year, thanks mostly to Lupe's masterpiece. (Yes, that is red weed poking out of the snow.)
