looks pretty cool so far, but i assume the handle is still under construction? it looks a little too 'rounded' and maybe needs to have some kind of ergonomics

I have a sheet of fake leather from an old lamp which i will use as a cover for the handle. and some buttons for the top as selector switches. I was also going to wrap some old wiring around the handle to beef up the grip of the handle too. so it aint over yet!

that would be cool. have you thought of modifying actual guns, such as pellet guns or bb guns to make those blasters?
also... about the lightsaber thing... have you ever seen a fan-made lightsaber with a flourescent tube as the 'blade'? i wonder if anyone ever done that? it would be pretty fragile, but thats the only way I can think of at least getting it to look semi-realistic
edit: that photo needs to have the levels adjusted somewhat, its kind of dark and i can't see all of the detail enough to appreciate it for what it is

The gun is all black rubber and ABS plastics and black leather handle so the pic is a tad distorted just to get that level of contrast even with the flash.

Duh i didnt see the altered pic. As you can see the leather handle, however the handle is far from finished. Also the gun is terribly nose heavy as you can imagine.

i must say rusti it's coming along nicely OHH b.t.w. if your thinking of a " glow " in the dark effect...it's about £10:00 now i was wondering if you don't mind my saying i think the handle on it already is grand but would a piece of foam pipe lagging give the handle a padded look ? or would that be too much ? opps i omitted £10:00 a spray can
