Thanks. Altho ingame it looks different. I didn't actually fire as I took the shot or the AI would have the tripods fire back and sink me. So I added it in Paintshop with the other effects.
Ingame it's configured as a machinegun fireing shots that looks like a plasma blob in rapid sucession, the only way I could fake it as a steady beam isn't possible.

I like it, but I wish there were more detail on the Martians... not so darkly shaded. I wanna see em!
