It's apparent thatI can't be completly loyal to the book without boring the pants of my audience, so as with Jeff Wayne I have decided to take some liberies with the film in order to cut it down to something more managable.
For one I am taking out the brother and keeping with the narrator as te main focus of the story. His journey will be to London to find his wife, though events will force him further southward.
I am taking out the old cliche narrative "no on woudl have believed.." as much as I love it, it's better used for audio rather than visual. If film cannot be the narrative alone then you loose something.
Anything else you think I should adpat without wrecking the integrity of the book?

Well I was thinking of approaching it this way. The Narrator and the brother as one. The Narrator lives in London but is called to woking by his good friend Ogilvy to investigate and report on eruptions from mars. Leaving his wife tot he mercy of an invasion she has no clue of until later. basically the narration at the begining of the film wil be communications between the report and his wife. when communications beome impossible we are thrown into a state where we see the world only from his point of view. All is rumour and conjecture about him in a world gone mad as he struggles to get back to London. He hears of the Thunderchild from the parson, but even this is a tale exagerated by his already broken mind. There was a scene in the Global Dispatches where Wells get so clos to a living martian he almost feels a cautious kinship with it, as a wild animal would with a human. The Martian hoots something then climbs back into it's machine and walks away, almost brushing wells of as a harmless animal. I'd like to get something lie that in the film as well. I can;t think of much I'd liek to leave out but certainly I want to keep the film's atmosphere in spirit to the book.

The tripod looks fantastic - I love the smooth, 'flowing' feel it has to it's movement. Keep up the good work.

I know nothing about 3D animation, but that looked like a lot of work. That looked very promising as well . Keep it up dude, i hope you can finalize it and show us all soon.
