Sorry, scratch built may be a bit misleading. This is from the "tarantula" burger king toy from the awful Wild Wild West movie. I cut the toy in half, glued the legs and there it is!! I have since decided to modify it by adding the engine that Wells descibes. O will probably scratch build that part.

The tripod's looking good! Did you glue aluminum foil on the tripod, paint it silver, or is it just that way naturally?

Thanks so much for the welcome. I have almost completed my redesigned Tripod. I am hoping to have it finished this weekend. Right now I'm working on a stand for it. I'll repost pictures then.
