This is a teaser clip from a Judge Dredd fan film called Judge Minty all about an aged Judge at the end of his career. Its created by one of the comic strips artists and its still being filmed. Judge Dredd will be making a cameo. Heres the official website. www.judgeminty.com/Haven't seen the trailer yet but bizarre name for a film. Mind you, 2000AD could be very bizarre. |

Dredd occationally goes to Minty for advice and considers Minty as something of a friend as much as Dredd has any. As for the new film John Wagner the creator of JD is personally involved in this project which he wasnt with the '95 movie. So hopefully there will be some creative oversight with the project.

I've seen the trailer now and looks quite impressive - especially the lawmaster bike . I don't know who's playing Dredd but he's got the look. Special effects look good too.
I suppose this film will be only available through download. Wonder how far along it is in production?

Dredd is played by a guy called Greg Staples, hes a 2000ad artist of all people!
I know they are shooting sometime in September in Wales the Cused Earth scenes.
Look through the blogspot account there is tones of stuff and info in there. I suppose it will be finished when its finished.

Quick 2 min interview with Judge Dredd big screen movie producers. I'm very optimistic after watching this!
Also i read the Judge Minty fan film will be 20-25 mins long and should be released just before Christmas maybe very early 2011 is all goes well.

I've just noticed something strange in the last photo I posted, Dredd only has 2 links of chain from his zip fastener to his shield, in all the other photos there are 9 links... just an observation. ;D
