Thanks for that, Jonathan. I've seen that poster on a few bus stops already - it's fantastic. Can't wait for this to be released.

You are very welcome RB
My one friend was at the NEC Memorabilia show in Birmingham the weekend (I couldn't go as I was busy with a project), but he said that Universal were down there with a display stand and TVs showing the trailer.

When I use to trade at the shows (and even trade and worked alongside Jeff Wayne after the 2005 re-launch), the Memorabilia shows were on a decline because they had been sold off to a new european company. They insisted and carried out massive changes to the show by getting rid of small traders and private sellers. They saw that large companies would produce more money. Pure greed. The shows did suffer and still do.
If you catch the 9am opening, you pay £15 for admission. After 11am it is £10. But paying that kind of addmission price to view stalls owned by high street collectors shops such as 'Forbidden Planet' etc.

Watched the film tonight. Absolutely loved it. There were a number of moments which had the same tension as the Carpenter film. Although not as dark as the JC version, but the air of 'who to trust' soon became apparent. The FX were very well executed and fitted in well, along with the acting. If I were to be critical - I thought the assimilations were too quick and I would have preferred a better soundtrack, more orchestrated with synthesizers that mirrored the Ennio Morricone score to the 82 JC film. As the film hits the UK next Friday, I will seeing it on the big screen as I never had the pleasure to view JCs version that way in 1982. All-in-all, for his first film, Matthijs did a fantastic job considering what the studios were also doing - I give it 9/10

Some screencaps from the film I watched tonight. . . Its 1982. . . The flying saucer discovered in the ice cave. We have enough ice then? Some things in the pit. Juliette things out. . . Some things not right. . . The start of split-face. Not very handy- thing. After hearing the axe in the door, Colin's had enough. . . Wish that dog would stay still while I'm shooting.
