And this piece isn't allowed to be on the internet? Hmm. I think an official Peter Elson site can show his work, they just don't want his work published by outsiders, which is understandable. I suppose I could do my own version of this picture, that way it will be an original image, there's no law against that.

Here's part 2 Ok the scene is set, now for the actors and players. That was the easy part, now for the machines. I noticed Peter Elson illustrated the machines as though they were painted white, I think this is due to the fact that the Tripod on the album cover is very white. I'm going to try and make mine look like aluminium as H. G. Wells described it.

I've made a start already. Come on down here and have a look. In the forum was a picture scarcely 10% done, that had taken him an hour to make. I would have made that much in a year, and I suddenly noticed the gulf between my work, and my life.
