LC, if you don't have time, don't worry about it. Seriously. I didn't realise you'd be so pushed!

Too late Nerf.... I mean Scifishocks, I've already started, there's no stopping me now. ;D Here's a sketch of two of the 6' remote units (or whatever they're called) Any alterations to this design, speak now or forever...... ;D I'm on with the actual cover next, I'll see how much I can get done this weekend.

Actually, mate, I honestly don't remember saying as the only human heatray cannon used in anger, that the narrator saw, was mounted on the armoured train. But some form of arm mounting would make sense for the Heatray, generally. The underwater adapted tripods were equipped with harpoon weapons rather than heatrays, same as the infantry, during the battle at the mother-cylinder in the north sea.

Hey, I'll back you up fella! I made a lot of tech details vague on purpose. Just like Wells did. They did use Heatrays at the Battle of Brighton, of course, but the description is open to interpretation.

Oh and there were also Human Heatray artillery style cannons on the beach too.

Ooo! I'm now wondering whether to make this a beach battle scene, but I mustn't give too much away as that comes right near the end of the book. Again to save me time which chapter is the Heat-ray cannon described?

OK here's a mock-up of the cover. Tony, get back to me with your opinions ASAP please. I've done the soldiers in WWI type of uniforms, is this okay?
