Nerf (Scifishocks) is taking part in a 48hr Tweetathon starting midnight (GMT) Sunday to help promote The War of the Worlds: Aftermath. He's planning some crazy antics and also one or two prize giveaways. If you're on Twitter follow him - www.twitter.com/Scifishocks. Also as part of the promotion the Kindle version has been reduced to only 74p! A bargain!

I have already posted a review, last year. But I have now added comment to the review By S. Johnson "sijon" Every little helps. Here's my comment: A good review and I agree with most of it. I've not read 'Edison's Conquest of Mars' however I have read Gabriel Mesta's (aka Kevin J. Anderson) 'The Martian War'. Mesta treated the whole thing as a farcical comedy and I became irritated with his repeated self-congratulatory pats on the back at the amount of research into Wells' background. A sequel to a classic like War of the Worlds should be treated with a bit more respect and I feel Tony Wright has done this with 'Aftermath'.

Didn't know that. I don't own a kindle so I assumed that I'd need a kindle to read it.

My copy came a few days ago. I started to wonder if it was going to turn up at all, as we had ordered it on Christmas day and only got it recently. Looking forward to reading it!

Blimey! Where do you live? On Mars? That's terrible! Haha, while sometimes it feels like it no I don't, anyway even if I did live on Mars I wouldn't be able to get a copy of the book because it would be banned as subversive propaganda. But it was a great read, I finished it last night and it was very enjoyable. When I work out how to put a review on Amazon I will. Weren't you also working on a Remembrance book to Nerfy?

Weren't you also working on a Remembrance book to Nerfy? The front and back cover artwork has already been finished, Nerfy only has to fill in all the blanc pages between. Simples
