I'd like to see a faithful adaptation of 'I am Legend' made. Not this new Hollywood remake - more a remake of the no where near faithful adaptation 'The Omega Man' - with Will Smith starring in it. They made a good adaptation of the film in the 60s called ' The Last Man on Earth' which starred Vincent Price. But I would like a newer version of this great novel.

I'd love to see them remake The Running Man, but make it true to the truly excellent book.
Anyone think Condorman needs remaking? Or do we all accept that its cinematic perfection as it is?

i've been thinking ( while smoking me cigar clint eastwood style ) if logans run and tron were remade would a remake be justifiable ? i agree some films were best left as we remember them and some should never have been remade like invasion of the body snatchers the 1978 version i wanted to scream meself by the end of it the poseidon adventure 2006 forgotten about by the time i got home

I don't see anything about a "Tron" remake at IMDb.com, so I would guess it never went into production.

I know one of the rumours about Tron ended up that it was a PC game that was being made so I don't know if there was a movie planned as well. Also what happened to that 20,000 Leagues movie that was supposed to be in the works?

lol DF. I quite liked the Charlton Heston version of the Omega Man. As a stand alone film its good, but as an adaptation of a novel it's crap. It's no where near.

Yeah I must get around to actually reading the novel - it's on my very long list.
