Maybe the JW film will come out with it. Supposed to come out last year! But THIS film looks interesting, I've always wondered what the invasion would be like in the Great War.

Then you'll have to read Nerfy's second sequel 'The War of the Worlds: Remembrance' that will also be set during The Great War.

Goddamn it!! This is annoying. I've spent months doing research for my next book, set during WWI, and now this springs up. Mind you, at least mine won't be set in America and will still (hopefully) be in the spirit of the original.

Bugger bugger bugger.

I got a lot of work to do but mine will be ready when it is. DVD movie or not, mine will feel like the original story. I hope. I do, however, like that poster with the big Flying Machine against the Statue of Liberty. Ultimately, though, I haven't seen anything in that write up that worries me. I have a guaranteed publishing deal for my book so it WILL be out there like Aftermath is now. That movie may be entertaining... but I'm not sure it will be RIGHT. Here's a treat... I hope Peter Fussey (Lonesome Crow) won't mind me showing you guys here this (yes, I specifically asked Mr. Fussey to get involved artwise for my next novel because I love his work SO much and he then kindly agreed to offer cover art for it! I can't possibly keep shit this good under wraps for long!).... Here is an early mock up of the cover of my next novel, 'TWoTW: Remembrance'. Thanks MILLIONS, Peter!! It's a ways off, as I say,... but it IS coming together.

Oh... and of course the title for my next work was carefully chosen. I'm planning on A J P Taylor meets H.G. Wells for my book. I hope I can convey the madness of WWI when mixed with a new invasion from those pesky bastard Martians. But that is just the basics. Like the original WWI, the plot details I have in mind are far more complicated. The research on WWI has been the hardest part for me. Mainly because I want to show the proper respect to real life events. That is VERY important to me. But it has all been very rewarding. More on Remembrance here on this site soon, I hope.

CT, I always thought my writing, and the story I loved (and wanted to continue), would stretch to a trilogy (four books if you want to include HG's novel). There is 'Aftermath', obviously (completed! . 'Remembrance' was always going to be next and I imagined there would be a third sequel (tentatively titled 'TWoTW: Cold War') which would bring things up to date. With Martian tech, I thought that in an alternate universe, history would be different and I wanted to explore that. Not sure that 'Cold War' will see the light of day now, but 'Remembrance' will get finished, at least.

Peters art has always impressed me. It reminds me of an artist called Jim Burns who's a huge inspiration of mine. Very sweet cover Tony, I bet your chuffed with that!
My own project is still in note form I'm probably going to wait for a bit see how the new movie looks before proceeding. I may rewrite it into something else. I have a second project on the go which I will concentrate on. Think Matrix meets new Battlestar and you have the idea.
Great cover. Looks ace.

Maybe you should include unterseebooten in your book, Nerfy. By the way, "unterseebooten," is German for U-Boat . Can't wait for your next novel to come out, artwork and all.

Jim Burns!? I am honoured, He has long been a hero of mine. thanks 'Rusti'. Thanks 'Commanding' I wasn't sure whether Nerfy wanted to keep this project under his metaphorical hat or not, So I've kept quiet about it. Now the Cat's out of the bag, I thought you might like to use these as desktop pictures. They are in Standard Monitor and Wide Screen Formats.
